My goal with this work is to make academia attractive to potential grad students... make it relevant, make it 'cool', 'hip'. I like to compare it to televison shows like Sesame Street, Electric Company and ABC's Schoolhouse Rock. My goal is also to present these students in a way that they traditionally would not be... as future scholars, scientists, professors, etc.

The CUNY Pipeline Program is designed to provide educational and financial support to underrepresented CUNY undergraduates interested in pursuing the Ph.D. in preparation for college-level teaching and advanced research in any discipline except law and medicine. The CUNY Pipeline Program seeks to recruit students from groups currently underrepresented in our nation’s Universities. These mini-docs focus on the students who made up the 2008-2009 class.
