This is a still from the documentary 'Eyes on the Prize' of well known poet Sonia Sanchez (and NYU alumni), who was an early New York CORE member during the Gladys Harrington tenure. She attended the March on Washington and saw Malcolm X speak in Harlem as a member of New York CORE. Her membership pre-dates her work as a poet during the Black Arts movement.
