Description
This is a photo of Civil Rights and Harlem legend Percy Sutton, one of America's most prominent Black political and business leaders. As the senior member of 'The Gang of Four', New York City's most powerful Black politicians (including David Dinkins, Charles Rangel and Basil Patterson, father of Governor David Patterson) he served as Manhattan Borough President and a New York State Assemblyman. Known also as one of the founders of Inner City Broadcasting, he was also the lawyer for Malcolm X and his family.
